About My Work

I direct because I love telling stories, and I enjoy finding ways to get talented people with diverse skill sets all working in the service of a cohesive whole. I'm drawn to small-scale stories told in a simple manner that point to greater truths and ideas, and I'm good at making those stories speak that way. I'm also skilled with using a few simple set pieces in as many ways as possible. I have a puzzle mind, and I relish in figuring out how to piece a show together until it runs like a watch. I'm also trained as an actor, so I speak the language of acting very well, and I enjoy the collaborative process of creating characters and building their relationships.
